Playing With My Presents.
Merry Christmas to everyone. I hope that you have had a good day or at the very least a relaxing one.
I spent it with family and it couldn’t have been better. I love seeing kids opening presents. The excitement in their eyes as each layer of wrapping paper comes off. The battles with the dreaded sticky tape. The mounds of wrapping paper grows with each present that passes, on to the next one with breathless excitement. I am just a big kid when it comes to Christmas.
Present wise I made out like a Doctor Who bandit. A GIANT classic series Dalek mug, The Brilliant Book 2012, The E-Space Trilogy Box Set and a set of Mini Doctor Who figures… all 11 of them (my nephew was most jealous.) I got a couple of non Doctor Who gifts too.. some new earrings (I felt like I needed a change after wearing a Gold Hoop for the past 15 years) A Goon Show CD and a totally unexpected (as in I didn’t even know they existed) Fish-Eye Lens for my iPhone. Yeah.. A separate attachable lens for an iPhone. Seeing as I am attached to my phone pretty much 24/7 and my growing addiction to Camera apps, this could quite possibly be one of the best thought out gifts. EVER.
Here is a picture of my Niece Jessica. I started out with the Fish-Eyed image and then imported it into Camera+. (I can’t quite remember the steps I took to get it looking like it did.. it’s one of the first times I have played about with the editing side of the app. I’ll pay more attention next time.)
I am looking forward to playing with the lens and my other apps, just to see what weird and wonderful images I can conjure up.
I am ending my Christmas Day with a very nice David Gilmour live recording recorded at the Royal Festival Hall from 2002. A very “smooth” way to end a great day.
Until Next Time…
